In 1762, John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, came up with an invention that changed dining forever. With a serving of roast beef placed between two slices of bread, the Earl created a complete meal he could eat with his hands. Brilliant! The Sandwich was born. Some 250 years later, EARL OF SANDWICH® restaurants have taken that idea and crafted it into a made to order, freshly baked Sandwich like no other. At EARL OF SANDWICH® we don't serve mere sandwiches. We serve The Sandwich. We roast our beef on premises daily to ensure that every single Sandwich is served at the peak of freshness. We add fresh vegetables, gourmet condiments and generous slices of the finest cheeses. Every Sandwich is assembled on our own signature artisan bread, which bakes fresh with each Sandwich. As your Sandwich bakes in our ovens, the meats and cheeses are melded, releasing their flavours together in spectacular fashion. It's a distinctly unique method that results in an amazingly fresh, tasty Sandwich.

Our namesake invented The Sandwich, but we couldn't stop there. Every item on the EARL OF SANDWICH® menu is created with an emphasis on freshness and great taste. We offer breakfast items, warm soups and fresh salads, and in keeping with the Earl's original inspiration of "the portable meal," we've added fresh wraps to our menu as well.
